We will begin our adventure by picking you up at your hotel in the district of Miraflores or San Isidro. During the journey along the South Pan-American Highway, we will make a brief stop in the Artisan Bread area, where you can enjoy an optional breakfast with typical regional products.
After approximately 3 and a half hours of travel, we will arrive at Paracas Bay, from where we will board modern boats for our excursion to the Ballestas Islands, one of the most important marine reserves in Peru. Along the way, we can admire the enigmatic Paracas Candelabra, an impressive figure engraved in the sand, visible only from the sea or air.
Upon arrival at the islands, we will witness abundant wildlife: Humboldt penguins, sea lions, large colonies of guano birds, and, with luck, dolphins playing in the water. Then, we will return to the bay to continue our route.
We will head to the city of Ica, famous for its wine tradition. We will visit an artisanal or industrial winery, where an expert guide will explain the process of making Peruvian wine and pisco. We can also enjoy a tasting of their best products.
Around 1:00 p.m., we will take a break for lunch at a local restaurant (lunch at the passenger’s expense), where you can enjoy the best dishes of Ica’s gastronomy.
After lunch, we will visit the famous Huacachina Lagoon, an oasis surrounded by imposing dunes, palm trees, and huarango trees, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the tranquility of the landscape. For the more adventurous, there will be the option of sandboarding and an exciting dune buggy ride (optional).
After our experience in the oasis, we will begin the return to Lima. For those who continue their journey to Nasca or Arequipa, we can coordinate to drop them off at the corresponding bus station.
