Later, we will go to the Pueblo Libre neighborhood and visit the Larco Museum. This museum exhibits the best and most complete collection of pre-Hispanic Peruvian gold and silver in the world. Located in a beautiful 18th century viceregal mansion, it is considered one of the 25 best museums in the world. Finally, we will observe a pre-Columbian archaeological complex “Huaca Huallamarca” in the middle of the urban area.
Double accommodation in the hotel.

Early morning transfer from hotel to airport
In the afternoon, we will have a walk around the city, we start the visit with the temple of the Sun called Qorikancha, then 4 archaeological sites near Cusco, such as: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Tambomachay and Puca Pucara.
Double accommodation in the hotel.

The Sacred Valley of the Incas is a must-see destination for anyone who visits the city of Cusco, due to the magic and importance that this emblematic place houses. We will visit:
Pisac: At the entrance to the Urubamba Valley is Pisac, a magnificent mestizo town where you can distinguish the old neighborhood (archaeological site) from the modern part with its colonial characteristics. The main attraction of Pisac is the traditional indigenous market, where we will find a wide variety of typical objects from the region, made of fabric or ceramics. We will also admire the typical costumes of the region, quite colorful and worn by local residents. Additionally, we can visit the old colonial church of Pisac, where masses are still celebrated in Quechua on Sundays, attended by local residents and the “varayocs” (local authorities from different cities). We will end our visit to Pisac with a look at the interesting irrigation system of the crop fields and the fabulous astronomical observatory dating back to Inca times.
Urubamba: To head to Urubamba we will pass through the towns of Coya, Lamay, Calca and Yucay, observing beautiful flora and fauna during a 45-minute tour. At the end of the trip we will arrive at the city of Urubamba, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley, in the middle of a quite comfortable and fertile area that constitutes an important pre-Hispanic agricultural center. We will take advantage of this pleasant atmosphere to have lunch in a cozy typical restaurant.
Ollantaytambo: In the afternoon we will go to the Ollantaytambo region, also known as “Tambo Valley”. This is the only “living” Inca city, that is, the only inhabited one, and it extends along the Vilcanota River, reaching Machu Picchu. We will visit the famous fortress of Ollantaytambo, which stands out in the valley, where we will see some of the most imposing buildings of the Inca empire.
Chinchero: On our way back to the city of Cusco we will stop to visit Chinchero and its small chapel. This town, like Pisac, is known for its traditional market; However, the Chinchero market, although smaller, is richer in tradition and offers a greater variety of textile pieces. Finally, we will return to Cusco, where we will drop you off at your accommodations.
We will have pre-trip information about our 4-day hike along the Inca Trail.

At the time previously agreed upon in the briefing, we will begin boarding our bus that will take us directly to Piscacucho (2700 meters above sea level), a small community located at Km. 82 of the road from Cusco to Machu Picchu. We will begin our walk and we will join the entire team of professionals who will make our trip an unforgettable experience.
The Inca Trail begins by crossing the traditional bridge at Km 82 and continues along the left bank of the Urubamba River, which flows northeast of the Sacred Valley. After passing through some flat terraces, we will reach Miskay (2800 meters above sea level), and then ascend and finally see the Inca City of Patallacta or Llactapata (2750 meters above sea level). We will continue our walk along the valley created by the Kusichaca River, until we reach our first camp of Wayllabamba (3000 meters above sea level), where we will have a refreshing dinner and spend the night.
During the route of the Inca Trail, we will be able to enjoy a splendid panorama of the Vilcanota River, the Urubamba mountain range with the summit of La Verónica mountain (5750 meters above sea level), covered in snow, and a great variety of flora and fauna along of the entire journey.

On the second day we will resume our walk around 7:00, after having breakfast. This part of the route is the hardest day of the Inca Trail, since the walk consists of a steep and narrow climb for about 9 kilometers. Throughout this climb the landscape will change from mountain range to puna, a dry and high area with little vegetation.
We will arrive at the first and highest pass of the mountain, the Abra de Warmihuañusca (Dead Woman’s Pass, 4125 meters above sea level), where we can observe llamas and domestic alpacas grazing on the ichu, one of the few plants that grow at that altitude. We will also cross through an area of the forest where various kinds of animals live such as sparrows and the Andean bear (or spectacled bear). It is advisable to bring candies, chocolates and coca leaves to maintain a high level of sugar in the body and thus counteract altitude sickness. After having passed the pass, we will descend towards the Pacaymayu valley (3600 meters above sea level), where we will camp after the 7-hour walk.

This is the longest but most interesting and impressive day of our walk, as we will visit a number of archaeological sites accompanied by our guide, who will explain the history of the places we visit.
From Pacaymayu we will climb to the second pass: the Abra de Runkurakay (3970 meters above sea level). We will visit the archaeological complex of the same name at 3800 meters above sea level, and we will find important vestiges of the Inca culture. After crossing the pass we will descend towards Yanacona (black lagoon) to finally reach Sayacmarca (3624 meters above sea level), where we will enjoy a 20-minute guided tour. Next we will go to “Chaquicocha”, where we will have lunch and then continue our walk in a geography that changes from dry and mountainous appearance to the semitropical green of the jungle.
We will continue on an easy climb and pass through an Inca tunnel until we reach the pass or Abra de Phuyu Patamarca (3580 meters above sea level), our third mountain pass. Phuyu Patamarca, which means “The Cloud over the City”, is one of the most complete and best preserved archaeological complexes and is located at the highest point of the mountain. Here we will witness a sophisticated complex composed of water sources with solid foundations and impressive views of the Urubamba River. We will continue descending towards Wiñayhuayna (2650 meters above sea level), which means “Always Young”, for a guided tour of this spectacularly located archaeological complex. We will have dinner and spend the night at the camp.

In Wiñaywayna we will get up early, at approximately 4:00 a.m., to head towards the Puerta del Sol or “Inti Punku”. In this impressive place we will delight in a panoramic view of Machu Picchu and observe the exit, after a walk on the flat stones that adorn the edge of the mountain cliffs. From “Inti Punku” we will walk for 40 minutes until we reach Machu Picchu, where we will enjoy a two-hour guided tour. Then we will have free time to walk around the citadel and marvel at the spectacular views of valleys and mountains. Likewise, we can visit the Temple of the Moon and the fabulous Inca bridge. Next, in the afternoon, we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will have the option of visiting the thermal baths. Finally, we will board the return train to the city of Cusco.
Double accommodation in hotel.

DAY OFF
We will have this day to relax and rest

Double accommodation in hotel.

At approximately 4:00 – 4:30 the transportation will pass by your hotels located in the central area of Cusco. From here we will travel south for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the restaurant where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast. Then we will continue for approximately one more hour to the starting point of the hike. Before this walk, our guide will provide you with walking sticks and give you the necessary information for the long-awaited tour. The walk is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Montaña de Colores. It is advisable to be at least two days before in the city of Cusco, this for proper acclimatization since the walk is not that complicated but the altitude makes it a challenge to get there.
After the visit we will return along the same route to where our transportation is located, then we will return to the same restaurant to enjoy a pleasant buffet lunch. A moment of relaxation and we will take our return transportation to Cusco. The vehicle will leave you in a place near the parade ground.
