Drop from the high-Andes pass of Abra Málaga (4,300 m / 14,100 ft) to about 2,800 m on a thrilling full-day downhill ride near Cusco. Built for intermediate to advanced riders, the route follows winding mountain roads with optional off-road segments, delivering glacier views, cloud-forest slopes, and endless switchbacks. We provide quality bikes and full protective gear, plus a professional MTB guide and a support vehicle to keep you safe and comfortable. Expect roughly 4–5 hours of riding with scenic photo stops and hydration breaks. Altitude acclimatization recommended. Custom pacing and private departures available.
06:00 am we will begin with the pick-up of our passengers from their respective hotels. In our transport we will drive towards the Sacred Valley, approximately 3 hours until we reach Abra Málaga. Once there, our guide will give us a short safety talk and hand us our bikes and equipment. We will begin our descent to Ollantaytambo, this is where we will have lunch and then board our return transportation. We will be arriving at approximately 4:00 p.m.:00 pm.
Previous mountain biking experience, especially downhill riding, is recommended due to the nature of the course. However, our professional guide will provide guidance and support throughout the trip to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
The descent by bicycle from Abra Málaga to Ollantaytambo generally takes several hours, depending on the pace of the group and the stops to rest and enjoy the landscape. It is estimated to arrive in Ollantaytambo around noon for lunch.
