09:00 AM we will be passing by our clients’ respective hotels, we will drive for approximately 20 minutes to the town of Sacsayhuaman, where our ranch and our horses are located. Here, our guide will give us a small demonstration of how to control the horse and how to properly use the protective equipment. We will begin this magnificent adventure where we will visit the Temple of the Moon and the Cusco viewpoint, it will be a horseback ride of approximately 3 hours.

We recommend carrying the following:

  • Sunscreen and lip block:The sun can be quite strong in the highlands of Cusco, so be sure to protect yourself adequately with broad-spectrum sunscreen and a lip balm with SPF.
  • Comfortable and appropriate clothing for horse riding: Opt for light, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely while horseback riding. Long pants are preferable to protect your legs from rubbing against the saddle.
  • Jacket or light sweater: Although Cusco can be warm during the day, mornings and evenings can be cool, especially at higher altitudes. Bring a light jacket or sweater to stay warm if the weather changes.
  • Proper footwear: Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes with grippy soles for walking and horseback riding. It is important that your shoes are comfortable since you will be spending several hours riding.
  • Hat or cap and sunglasses: Protect your head and eyes from the sun by wearing a wide-brimmed hat or cap and sunglasses with UV protection.
  • Water and snacks:Stay hydrated throughout the day by carrying enough water. It’s also helpful to bring some snacks like dried fruit, granola bars, or energy snacks to keep your energy up during the ride.
  • Small backpack or fanny pack: Carry a small backpack or fanny pack to carry your personal belongings, such as your cell phone, camera, cash, and important documents.
  • Camera or GoPro: Don’t forget to capture the impressive landscapes and memorable moments of your ride. Bring a camera or GoPro to document your experience.
  • Personal medications:If you take any medication regularly, make sure you bring enough to last the entire day. It is also advisable to carry some basic medications such as pain relievers and motion sickness medications just in case you need them.
  • Cash: Although many activities may be included in the tour, you may want to buy souvenirs or leave a tip. Bring enough cash in the local currency to cover any additional expenses you may have.
