An extraordinary tour through one of the deepest canyons in the world. We have made this 2-day itinerary so that you can fully enjoy your visit to the Colca Canyon. You can relax in the thermal baths of La Calera and enjoy the flight of the Condors from the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint.
Approximately 7:30 to 8:00 our transportation will pass by the different hotels to begin the excursion to one of the deepest canyons in the world, taking the Yura highway, bordering the snowy Chachani, continuing towards the Cañahuas pampa, which belongs to the Reserve. Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Park, habitat of beautiful South American camelids such as vicuñas. In the Toqra wetlands you can see a great variety of migratory birds, among which are flamingos; you will pass through the crater of an extinct volcano, Chucura; Then you will have a stop at the volcano viewpoint, which is also the highest area of the road (4,910 meters above sea level). From here you will enjoy a view of a large part of the western mountain range.
1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Approximately, arrival in Chivay, here you will have a delicious lunch.
Installation in the hotel
In the afternoon, take advantage of going to the thermal baths in La Calera whose thermomedicinal waters range between 35º to 38º degrees Celsius in temperature in the pools. At 7:00 p.m. Optional dinner accompanied by a folklore show. As long as the hotel is located in Chivay
After breakfast, the excursion begins to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, it is a strategic observation point of the canyon of the spectacular flight of the Condor. Afterwards, you will have a stop in the towns of Maca and Yanque; which have beautiful colonial churches; as well as the Antahuilque, Huayrapunko and Peña Blanca viewpoints, from where you can appreciate the beautiful Colca landscape with its impressive terraces.
Next, lunch in a tourist restaurant, then return to the city of Arequipa, during the journey the transportation will make a stop in Patahuasi. You will be arriving in the city of Arequipa at approximately 5:00 p.m.
