We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco (city center) in the morning to head to Ollantaytambo train station in a tourist transport. The train journey is approximately one hour and 45 minutes to “Machu Picchu Pueblo” (or the town of “Aguas Calientes” 2,000 meters above sea level). Upon arrival at the train station, we will head to our hotel to settle into your room and take a rest. From this moment on, you will have the afternoon free to enjoy lunch at a tourist restaurant in the town. You can take advantage of a refreshing bath in the hot springs of “Machu Picchu Pueblo” for as long as you wish. Return to the hotel to receive a briefing with our guide and/or transfer representative, spend the night, and wait for the much-anticipated day to visit Machu Picchu early in the morning.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will take a bus that will take you on a 30-minute journey, ascending a zigzagging road, to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu; also known as “The Lost City of the Incas” today a “New Wonder of the Modern World”.

The excursion includes a guided tour of the citadel, lasting approximately 2 hours. During the tour, you will visit the most important sites of Machu Picchu, depending on the circuit assigned to you. Based on this, you might visit the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the royal quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, the cemeteries, or take a panoramic photo of the Inca citadel. During your visit, you can take advantage of the small rest stops to take photos and videos. After finishing the tour, return to “Machu Picchu Pueblo” for lunch. In the afternoon, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where the tourist transport will be waiting to return you to the city of Cusco.
