Nazca, located on the southern coast of Peru, is famous for its enigmatic Nazca Lines, a set of gigantic geoglyphs drawn in the desert more than 1,500 years ago by the ancient Nazca civilization. These impressive figures, which include representations of animals, plants, and geometric shapes, can only be fully appreciated from the air, covering an area of approximately 517 km². Their purpose remains a mystery, with theories ranging from astronomical calendars to sacred rituals. In addition to its lines, Nazca is home to other attractions such as the Cantalloc Aqueduct and pre-Hispanic cemeteries.
