



Itinerary
DAY 1: CUSCO
Arrive in Cusco and our staff will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel and tell you how interesting your culture and adventure itinerary is. It is recommended that you can purchase flights that arrive before 10:00 AM (we can also give you the option of purchasing one for you, as long as you tell us)
13:00 – 13:30 City tour pick up. In this tour, we will visit the Koricancha Temple and a tour of the 4 ruins: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, PucaPucara, and Tabomachay Located 8 km far from the downtown area.
Cusco is one of the most visited places in the world. You can find important archaeological centers, Inca walls, colonial churches built on ruins of the Inca empire, and legendary roads that lead to lost citadels high in the Andes. In addition, the ancient cultures of Peru are kept alive in its people, the colorful costumes, the gastronomy, and the vestiges of the beauty of a glorious past that surrounds the visitors who arrive at the imperial city of the Incas.
Koricancha: We will discover the religious center known as the “Temple of the Sun”, where the impressive engineering used in its construction is highlighted.
Sacsayhuamán: We will be impressed with a fortress of monumental stones and excellent architecture, located 3 km. from the city of Cuzco.
Qenqo: We will continue our tour with a visit to this ceremonial and ritual center, where sacrifices were made and tributes were paid to ancient forces.
PucaPucara: Formerly known as Tambo, it is a lookout post along the Inca trails.
Tambomachay: This ceremonial center of the cult of water is located 7 km from Cusco city and is traditionally known as “the place of the waters”.
DAY 2: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES
08:00 – 08:20 AM The pick-up time from your hotel in order to start this great cultural tour
in the direction of the Sacred Valley. First, we will visit the Pisac archaeological place, and then we will go to Urubamba, passing through the towns of Coya, Lamay, Calca, and Yucay. Along the way, we will observe beautiful flora and fauna and finally arrive in Urubamba, where we will have lunch before continuing on our way to the Ollantaytambo archaeological place.
After the tour in Ollantaytambo, we have to continue our trip by walking down to the train station and taking a 1 hour and a half train to Aguas Calientes town. We will arrive at the train station and continue to our hotel.
DAY 3: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
We will start our day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel, after which we will take a bus to Machu Picchu, the bus trip takes around 30 minutes.
The excursion includes a 2-hour guided tour around Machu Picchu, we will visit the most important sites, such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the royal rooms, the temple of the Three Windows, and the cemeteries. After we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes town to have lunch before boarding our return train to Ollantaytambo, where our transport will be waiting for us and take us back to Cusco, according to the available train schedule, we will be arriving at 7:00 p.m. in Cusco.
DAY 4: CUSCO
This day will be a free day, we can relax and maybe take a hiking tour such as Rainbow Mountain or Humantay Lake. This will depend on you.
At night, our specialized and certified guide in the Rafting tour will be visiting your hotel to give you general information about the next 3 days of adventure.
DAY 5: CUSCO – APURÍMAC RIVER
08:30 AM we will go to your hotel to start this great adventure. We will start our trip towards the Huallpachaca bridge, located southeast of Cusco, approximately 4 hours away. We will arrive at the starting point at lunchtime. After enjoying a delicious lunch, our guides will proceed to distribute all the safety equipment such as Helmet, life jackets, oars, jackets then they will give us a brief safety talk on how to use the equipment and how to row while being inside the river, in addition to a rescue demonstration in the water. Next, we will proceed to paddle for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes until we reach our camp located on the riverbank.
DAY 6: APURÍMAC RIVER
After enjoying a delicious breakfast prepared by our guides, we will set up the entire camp, pack up and continue with this magnificent adventure. This day will be full of adrenaline as we will run class III and class IV rapids. Keep in mind that in this section we will find class VI portages which we will stop and walkthrough. We will arrive at a point where we will enjoy our lunch and then we will continue sailing, we will arrive at our camp at approximately 5:00 pm. It is also located on the river bank. We will set up camp and after dinner, we can make a campfire and enjoy the sound of the river and the jokes of our guides.
DAY 7: APURÍMAC RIVER – CUSCO
One more day of adventure. After breakfast, we will pick up our camp and continue paddling for about 4 more hours. On this day we will run class III, IV, and V rapids. The final point of our route inside the river is the Cunyac Bridge, where we will pack all our equipment, have lunch and continue our trip back to the city of Cusco.
DAY 8: CUSCO
Transfer from the hotel to the airport depending on the time of your flight.
