This route will begin with a hike to the archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo, along the way you will be able to appreciate the true Inca Trail used since ancient times. Itinerary
DAY 1: CUSCO – HUCHUY QOSQO – OLLANTAYTAMBO
07:00 AM we will be going through the respective hotels of our clients to start this great adventure. We will drive for approximately 45 minutes to the community of Tauca from where we will start this hike. The hike begins with a gradual ascent to 4,443 meters above sea level and takes approximately 1 hour. A brief rest and we will begin the descent to the Archaeological Site of Huchuy Qosqo, during the route we will be able to appreciate a variety of flora, canyons and wonderful landscapes of the Andes. It will be 2 hours of descent, approximately. We will arrive at the archaeological site, and we will have a guided tour of this great enclosure that the Inca Wiracocha ordered to be built and where he spent his last days. We will begin an extreme descent to the town of Lamay, the average time is 1 hour. Here our transport will be waiting for us to transfer us to the town of Ollantaytambo.
Here we will enjoy a delicious lunch, and we will have the afternoon free to explore this beautiful town, or if we want, we can go to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo (it is necessary to purchase a tourist ticket for your visit).

DAY 2: OLLANTAYTAMBO – WIÑAYWAYNA – AGUAS CALIENTES
We will have our breakfast very early since we have to board one of the first trains to the KM-104, where we will begin our hike through a subtropical jungle landscape. During our tour we will visit the archaeological group of Chachabamba (2150 masl) and after approximately 3 hours of hiking we will arrive at Wiñaywaina. This impressive archaeological complex is made up of an agricultural center with numerous platforms, a religious sector and an urban sector. Then we will go up to Inti Punku or “Puerta del Sol” on a walk along a flat stone path on the edge of the mountain cliffs, a trip that will take us an hour. From Inti Punku we will enjoy our first panoramic view of the majestic “Machu Picchu”. From Puerta del Sol we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes (there is the option of taking the bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes, the cost of this section is not included in the tour). We will spend the night in a previously selected hotel, and optionally we will have the possibility of enjoying the hot springs of this magical town.

DAY 3: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
Very early in the morning, we will board the bus that will take us to Machu Picchu, to enjoy the sunrise in this magical place before the arrival of other tourists. We will enjoy the tranquility of the lost city of the Incas on a guided tour (Approx. 2 ½ hours), after which we will have free time to hike through the Citadel or climb the Huayna Picchu mountain (if you previously added this ticket for your visit). From here, we will have spectacular views of the entire citadel of Machu Picchu, as well as the valleys and mountains that surround it. In the afternoon we will go down by bus to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), we will have free time for lunch, and then we will board our train to Ollantaytambo, here our transport will be waiting for us to return us to the city of Cusco.
