



Enjoy a hike around Ausangate, the fifth-highest mountain in Peru, is an unforgettable experience. Take this 1-day tour touring the wonderful lagoons of different shades, all close to the snowy Ausangate, the most important tutelary apu from ancient times to the present. With an altitude of 6,384 meters above sea level, Ausangate is one of the mountains that belong to the Vilcanota mountain range, in addition to being a regional conservation area with an area of more than 66,514 hectares.
In this region, we will also find the famous Mountain of Colors Vinicunca, Mountain of Colors Palccoyo, and the great Red Valley. Normally, this complete route around the Ausangate takes you between 5 to 6 days, but we have prepared this one-day itinerary so that you can make the tour of the 7 Ausangate lagoons and enjoy all its landscapes.
Itinerary
04:00 am we will be going through the respective hotels of our passengers to head south of Cusco. We will drive for approximately 3 hours until we reach the town of Tinki where we will make a brief stop before continuing for 45 more minutes to the community of Pacchanta, it is in this town where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast.
We will start our hike towards the 7 Lagunas del Ausangate. It will be a tour of approximately 5 hours where we can see the lagoons called: Otorongo Male, Otorongo Female, Alqaccocha, Q’omercocha, Azulcocha, Pucacocha, Patacocha.
We will also be able to appreciate impressive landscapes of the Peruvian Andes, South American camelids, birds of the region, etc. After the hike, we will return to the town of Pacchanta, where we will enjoy some thermal baths to relax our muscles. It is also in this town where we will have lunch. Then, we will take our transport back to Cusco, we will be arriving at approximately 7:00 p.m.
