Cheaper Trip to Machu Picchu 5 Days

DAY 1: CUSCO

Arrival in Cusco and transfer to your hotel located in the downtown area.

13:30 pm Approximately , we will be starting with the city tour, we will visit the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha), then we will continue with the visit to 4 archaeological sites near Cusco, these are: Saqsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Tambomachay and Pukapukara.

We will have some time to appreciate the weaving process and the products of local textile makers, we will continue with our return trip to Cusco, arriving at approximately at 18:00 p.m.

DAY 2: CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU HYDROELECTRIC – AGUAS CALIENTES

06:30 We start with the pickup of our clients from their hotels located in the downtown area, and then we will drive until the Machu Picchu hydroelectric power station. On the way, we will pass through the Sacred Valley, exactly Ollantaytambo, from here we will start our ascent to Málaga pass (4300 masl). Then we will begin the descent and we will go inside the jungle. We will arrive at Hidroeléctrica, approximately at 13:30 PM. We will enjoy our lunch, and then we will start the long hike that will take us approximately 3 hours. Arrival in Aguas Calientes and we will go to our hotel. At night, We can visit the hot springs (optional)

Dinner time will be at 20:00 pm.

DAY 3: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Early in the morning we will have our breakfast, and then we will take the bus up to Machu Picchu, it will be approximately 30 minutes until the Machu Picchu main gate. We will go inside with our guide, and we will have a tour of 2 to 2.5 hours through the main important places around Machu Picchu. Once the guide is finished, we will hike down to the “Puente Ruinas”, and then we will continue our hike until the Machu Picchu hydroelectric power station (Train to Hydroelectric is optional). We will have to arrive at the hydroelectric before 2:30 p.m. to be able to board our return transport to Cusco. We will be arriving at approximately 9:00 p.m. in Cusco.

DAY 4: CUSCO – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN – CUSCO

Approximately 4:00 – 4:30 AM, we will be going through your hotel located in the downtown area. From here we will head south for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the restaurant where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast. Then we will continue for approximately one more hour to the starting point of the hike. Before the hike, our guide will provide you with walking sticks and will give you the necessary information for the long-awaited tour. The hiking is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to Rainbow Mountain, if you want, you can add a visit to the Red Valley (ask the seller). It is recommended to be at least two days before in the city of Cusco, for correct acclimatization since the walk is not that complicated, but the height makes it super difficult to get there.

After the visit we will return by the same route to where our transport is located, then we will return to the same restaurant where we had breakfast to enjoy a pleasant buffet lunch. A moment of relaxation and we will take our transport back to Cusco. The vehicle will leave us in a place near the Plaza de Armas.

DAY 5: CUSCO

Transfer from your hotel to the airport.
