Humantay Lake is an impressive turquoise lake and one of the most fabulous destinations to visit when in Cusco. This natural wonder is located at the foot of the Humantay Glacier, part of the Andes mountain range, and near the majestic Salkantay, in the Anta province of Cusco. It is an ideal route for those with limited time who love nature. In a single day, you’ll experience breathtaking landscapes, exotic flora and fauna, beautiful valleys, towering mountains, and finally we will discover the Humantay Lake (4,200 meters above sea level), considered one of the sacred and most important lakes and mountains in the Cusco region.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at approximately 4:30 AM and head by tourist transport to the town of Mollepata, where we will stop at a restaurant for breakfast before continuing to the village of Soraypampa. Here, we will start the hike to Humantay Lake, which takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. We will enjoy stunning views of the lake, take photos, and then begin our return to the restaurant in Mollepata for lunch, surrounded by beautiful views of the Salkantay and Humantay mountains. After lunch, we will proceed back to Cusco, enjoying panoramic views of the Andean valleys and mountains along the way.

Swimming is not recommended as the water is extremely cold and local communities consider the lake.
